Hostal Las Murallas

This is probably one of the cheapest hostels in the center of Madrid.

It is a small family hostel, in the very center of Madrid.

The hostel is located in the historic downtown area of Madrid, in 23rd of Fuencarral Street (a popular shopping area) at 100 meters of Gran Via and at 5 minutes walking of Puerta del Sol.

All Madrid’s main monuments like Plaza de España, Palacio Real, Retiro Park and of course the 3 museums of the Triángulo del Arte Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen are very near too. Most of the city’s attractions are within walking distance.

You will also find a lot of restaurants, closed to the hostel. And if you want to enjoy the famous 'Madrid night', we are about 15 minutes walking from the principal nightlife areas.


Double and triple rooms have bathroom inside, TV and heating / air conditioning.

Single rooms have wash-basin, TV and heating / air conditioning. The bathroom is outside of the room.

Linen and towels are included.

We are opened 24 hours.

As this is a small family hostel, just the owners manage it. Our rooms are totally safe and your things will be sure in our rooms.

Finally, we inform you, we are on a fourth floor and we have no elevator, in case it could be a problem for you.

Directions

We are on 23th of Fuencarral street, close to 'Gran Vía' metro station and near of 'Tribunal' metro station.

We are in the very center of Madrid, then it is easy to
get to the hostel from any point, by metro or by taxi.

You will find taxi and metro stops in Madrid Airport and bus and train stations.

If you come by taxi, just give our address to the driver:

23rd, Fuencarral street - (close to Gran Vía).

Meters inside the taxis display the fare. It is better to ask how much will be the approximate price of the run before to take it, in order to avoid any fraud. (If you would have to do some claim, you would need the invoice and the taxi's number-plate).(Don’t worry. Most of the Madrid taxis are legal and you will have no problem. I just inform you all details, in order you have all the information, and in this way avoid any problem).

There are some authorized extra service charges that must be added to the final fare. These are displayed for the public on the back right-hand window of the taxi.

If you come by Metro:

'Gran Vía' is the nearest metro station, just 3 minutes walking from the hostel. But 'Tribunal' is also near, just 8 minutes walking.

Both metro stations have exit to Fuencarral Street. And we are on the 23th of Fuencarral Street.

You just will have to check in the metro map, which metro station is better for you depending where are you coming from.

In the metro be careful with your bags. Madrid metro is not dangerous, but the tourists are the easiest victims for the pickpockets. Just take the normal precautions of a big city, and keep your important things close to you. That's all. (Don’t worry. Metro of Madrid is not dangerous. I just inform you all details, in order you have all the information, and in this way avoid any problem).
