Anchor Lodge Backpackers

Opened September 2002, 400 metres from town centre, nestled amongst magnificent native bush, and only a stone throw from park and waters edge. The backpackers lodge has a large designer kitchen, TV lounge with SKY TV and video, 24hrs internet, payphone, fireplace and laundry. Rooms open out onto large covered decks. Relax in the heated swimming pool and spa pool. For those who wish to explore a bit further our own historic gold mines are full of glow-worms and other 'interesting' creatures.

Directions

Intercity bus drops off at gate. For those travelling by car we are 2 1/2 hours drive from Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga. On arrival in Coromandel Town, turn left at the T-intersection (BNZ Bank on corner). Drive along 400 metres and you will find us opposite the park.
