The Funny-Farm Backpackers Hotel invites you to enjoy the magnificent Bernese Oberland and all it has to offer. From ski- and boarding to skydiving, snow shoe treking to bungy jumping, paragliding to night sledding or simply relaxing in front of the open fireplace or hiking in the snowed in mountains.

Whether you are budget conscious or enjoy the finer luxuries of life, we offer accommodation to suit all tastes. Choose between ‘The Hotel’, for elegant junior suites to four and three star rooms. ‘The Castle’, two to ten bed rooms with ensuite bathroom facilities, perfect for the budget traveller. All rooms have attached bathroom and a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains including the Jungfrau. This unique hotel with its relaxed, friendly staff will ensure your stay with us is an unforgettable experience.

Directions

Directions to the Funny Farm Backpackers Hostel (Mattenhof Resort).

Get off the train at Interlaken Ost (east).
Across the street is a big supermarket, the Coop, and on the other side is a Raiffeisen bank and a furniture store (Von Allmann).
Walk up this street, there are 2 roundabouts and the street slowly curves left, but stay on it until you get to a small Coop, on your right.
Make a right on this street and at the main road (Hauptstrasse) make a left and we are 20 meters down the road.

Sounds complicated but it's very easy and shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. Cheers and see you soon !
