Frogshollow is rated as “the best backpackers in Darwin” by Lonely Planet (2002) and recently won the 2003 Northern Territory Award for excellence (category: Backpacker Accommodation). We are a family owned and operated hostel and, being indefatigable travelers ourselves, know the importance of providing excellent facilities, service, and value for money. We offer a clean, friendly & relaxed hostel environment that is full of atmosphere. Our guests always find it is a shame to leave and invariably tend to stay longer than originally planned.

Directions

BY CAR: As you enter Darwin City on the Stuart Highway, turn left after the bridge (Toyota car dealership) at the sign to Port of Darwin (McMinn Street). Travel 500 metres and turn right at the sign to Frogshollow. We are 50 metres along Lindsay Street on the right, Can't miss us!

ON FOOT: (from transit centre, etc.): walk across through Mitchell and Smith streets, and find Lindsay street, which runs alongside the Woolworths Shopping Centre. Walk across Cavenagh and Woods streets and you'll see us on the left. Leisurely walk with a backpack and all will take you about 10 minutes.

BY PLANE: at the airport, get on the shuttle bus and ask to be taken to Frogshollow. Buy your ticket and you will be reimbursed if you stay a minimum of 3 nights.

BY TRAIN: Either look out for someone at the station with a sign or hop on one of the shuttle buses to get to Frogs. Up to $6 is reimbursed off the cost of the transfer to the hostel (with a min. 3 nights' accommodation) if there is noone there to pick you up.
