The Prince Consort is a dedicated service hostel! Located in a heritage listed building we are right in the heart of Brisbane's Fortitude Valley. 'The Valley' as it is known is a busy mix of Pub and Dance Clubs. It is a very unique area of Brisbane - and one not to be missed. Each Saturday morning the Valley markets are held directly across the road from our place and there are plenty of bargin's to be found each week! Below us we have The Elephant & Wheelbarrow Pub, a fantastic pub that provides all our guest with live bands - 4 nights a week, Karoke Night on Wednesday with fantastic prizes to help you along with your travels and Cheap Backpackers meals. Our friendly staff knows all the great areas to see in Brisbane and will be more than will to help you book any trips you would like to do in Brisbane or anywhere along the East Coast for that matter. Brisbane is a fantastic place to visit and we hope to see you soon, here in the Valley at the Prince Consort Backpackers.

Directions

From the TRANSIT CENTER:
Catch the city train 2 stops (north) to Fortitude Valley Railway Station (also known as Brunswick Street Station).
(Show your train ticket at check in and receive a free refreshment in the bar)
From the BRUNSWICK STREET STATION:
Exit the station and cross the road. Turn left and walk to the corner. Turn right onto Wickham Street and we are the second building from the corner above the Elephant & Wheelbarrow Hotel. (2 minute walk)
from the AIRPORT:
Catch the AIRTRAIN to Brunswick Street Station.
Catch a TAXI:
hail a cab and direct them to 230 Wickham street, Fortitude Valley.
Discounted secure parking available in the McWhirters Car park or Chinatown carpark opposite the hostel. Ask at reception on arrival.
