Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge offers quality accommodation with cooking facilities along with powered caravan and camping sites under shady gum trees. Accommodation is well supported by our tavern/bistro, supermarket and the unforgettable Olde Alice Bar and Function Centre.

The Olde Alice regularly features a damper cooking display, live music and the 'Snake, Bake and Shake' show; a popular event where you will get to sing along to some 'Aussie' songs, taste Australian damper and kiss a real lizard.


Every evening 'Wild Black Footed Rock Wallabies' can be fed at the lodge - an absolute must - this unique activity is popular with guests of all ages.

Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge operates a free return downtown shuttle bus service from the Lodge 6 times daily.

An airport shuttle service is available at the cost of $8.00 one way or $15.00 return (children 0 - 14 years free of charge)

Directions

By Air
Qantas fly daily to Alice Springs from all capital cities and some major regional centres. You can get the town shuttle bus fromt he airport to our hotel. Alternatively you can take a taxi.

By Road
If travelling by road you will find Heavitree Gap on the south Stuart Highway, at the base of the spectacular McDonnell Ranges and Heavitree Gap itself. The Resort is only a 5 minute drive from the Alice Springs town centre.

By Train
If arriving on The Ghan an Aurora shuttle service operates between Heavitree Gap Outback Resort and the train station for all in house guests.
