Cooking Tours: Experience Real Local Life In Italy

We offer a great variety of cooking tours throughout Italy: Piedmont, Friuli, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Amalfi Coast and Sicily.

On many tours you cook with a range of chefs and home cooks in different places so you experience slices of real Italian life. On other tours you cook with one family and really get to know these new local friends.

You also visit wineries, cheese makers, olive oil makers, go on truffle hunts, walk in markets, stroll in little towns or lovely cities, hike beautiful paths, shop or just hang out. You meet an incredible variety of local people and taste genuine Italian life.

Typical Day

Most days your cooking lesson is either in the morning or afternoon for about 2-3 hours. After the lesson you dine on your creations.


The rest of the day is filled with other experiences listed above. Lots of places to see and local people to meet.

Age range, type of group

Age range from 30s to 70s, all food & wine lovers with a joy of life.
Many women, alone or with friends, couples, groups of friends or family groups.

Many celebrate 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th birthdays or big wedding anniversaries or milestones like retirement or recovery from an illness. Cooking and eating together in Italy is the perfect place to celebrate "dolce vita" style!

Sleeping and meals

Accommodations range from simple B & B to historic four star hotels. Most tours you eat in a variety of restaurants and homes so you meet lots of local people and experience lots of places. Other tours you eat with the family who is giving you your cooking lessons.

Restrictions

Tours are for adults about 17 and over. We have custom designed private tours for family groups with younger members too.

Rates

A wide range of of four and six night tour package prices from about $1100 US/1300 Cdn to $4400 US/5400 Cdn.
