The exclusive jungle lodge, the first in Maharashtra, is situated in a thickly forested valley surrounded by the jungles of the Tadoba Tiger Reserve. The reserve holds around 50 tigers. Along with tigers other frequently spotted wildlife are Leopards, Sloth Bears, Gaur, Wild Dogs, Indian Mugger, Sambar, and many species of Indian deer. The TIGERTRAILS lodge overlooks a waterhole and grasslands to which the wildlife from surrounding reserve hills visit regularly. Tadoba Tiger Reserve is an undisturbed forest, as it is not visited by many tourists. Once a carnivore is sighted, either on drives, or on elephant, or from machans, you can spend undisturbed hours observing it.
Typical Day
Early mornings and late evenings are safari times.Bar-b-ques and campfires are arranged in the lodge courtyard, where, guests can sit around, and listen to animal calls till late in the night. Since the forest starts from a few feet away, Tiger calls come creeping close. Nature walks, birdwatching, animal census tech, waterhole machan sit-ups are some the activities the guest are encouraged to participate on their visit.
