Active Adventure

Two days of fabulous mountain bike trails taking you to elevations and vistas which show off the kind of country featured in the movie Lord of the Rings. On well formed forestry, farm, and back country roads there are feed stations en-route and hot showers to finish each day before being fed on the bounty of the land. Cold beers and wine to re-hydrate before top local musicians sweep you onto the dance floor. The ride on both days is suitable for recreational cyclists of medium fitness.

Typical Day

Joined in with a bunch of mainly Kiwis and an Aussie or two. Road and laughed together before stopping at a feed station where we were all gob-smacked by the views. Showered with a 73yr old who finished half an hour before me and still managed to beat me to the bar. Turns out he was from California, and says this has been the highlight of his NZ trip. Hired his bike in Dunedin, and is reluctant to return it, as he's been invited by some Canadians to join them to two days on the Central Otago Rail Trail after the Goldfields Classic. Sat with some really friendly Kiwis to enjoy a great country feast [tables were laden].The band was fantastic and I still managed to find the energy to dance. Off to my accommodation for the night where I fell into a blissful sleep dreaming of blue skies, magic people, and more fun tomorrow
