
Surrounding Area
Loulé, one of the oldest towns in the region is situated 18 km (11 miles) north west of Faro in the barrocal, the foothills of the Algarve mountains. Loulé is a busy centre with its colourful and bustling Saturday morning market, which is famous amongst the locals and holidaymakers. The market has an excellent selection of fruit and vegetables, and fresh fish every day.
Leatherwear such as bags, belts and shoes, or embroidered linen and tableware, are also to found in abundance, so too is pottery. Loulé is a town where craftsmanship is still very active.
Loulé is the centre of the Algarvian craft industry and you will often see artisans working brass, copper or clay in and about the streets of Loulé. The Moorish castle that dominates the town the town with its thick boundary walls is a proud and imposing structure. Today is houses the local tourist office and a museum.

Loulé has a maze of narrow alleyways lined with tall compact houses contrasts with an expansive boulevard shaded by rows of trees, which in spring burst into pinky-red blossom. Loulé is famous throughout Portugal as it hosts the biggest and most flamboyant celebrations at Carnival time, it also celebrates the almond blossom festival at the same time.
The Quintassential is close to the world famous golf course of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. The waterparks are a mere 10 minutes away and so too are the beaches of Quarteira and Quinta do Lago.
For the quiet folk we also have some of the most beautiful walks and for the bird watchers we have some of the rarest birds in Europe on our doorstep.

The Quintassential can sleep from 2 - 14 people and consists of the following properties.
The Orange Cottage is the largest of the cottages at Quintassential. The Orange Cottage is a large two bedroom rustic cottage with a fully fitted kitchen including oven and stove, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, electric kettle and toaster.
The Lounge/diner is tastefully decorated with cane and pine furniture, Satellite TV, video recorder, radio/CD player, puzzles, chess set, playing cards & a ceiling fan and the Orange Cottage boasts an original 19th century fireplace that now houses the wood-burning stove. Double doors lead on to the very large private terrace with it's own table, cushioned seating, Bar-B-Q area and cushioned reclining chairs..

The bathroom has a new luxury bathroom suite with a double walk-in shower, washbasin, w.c. bidet and there is also a shaver point. The Orange Cottage bedrooms consist of one double bed and one twin bed. There is also a fold up bed for infant use.
The Orange Cottage sleeps a maximum of 4 adults and an infant.
The “Casa Do Forno” is the smallest of the cottages at Quintassential, a one bedroom rustic duplex cottage tastefully decorated and boasting many original features from the old Quinta including a "crows nest" lounge. It may be the smallest of the cottages at the Quintassential, but it makes up for it in character. The bedroom has a double bed, bathroom with shower. The “crows nest “ lounge area has spectacular views and has a radio/CD player, puzzles, chess set and playing cards.

The kitchen/dining area has the original bread oven dating back to the 19th century and original floor tiles from the Quinta. The kitchen comprises of fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and gas hob. From the dining area there are doors leading on to a completely private terrace with Bar-B-Q, table and chairs. There is also a wood burning stove for the cooler winter evenings.
The Bread Oven House also has its own garden with a further rustic seating area and surrounded by an abundance of beautiful flowers and shrubs. Here in the secluded garden you will experience some of the most breathtaking sunsets in the Algarve.

The Lemon Cottage is one of the newer cottages at Quintassential, a light and airy one bedroom apartment with a large bedroom that has a double bed, large ceiling fan & patio doors leading on to the sun terrace. The bedroom is large enough to also accommodate another single bed too. The Lemon has a large bathroom with shower, washbasin, w.c. bidet and shaver point.
The spacious lounge/diner is decorated tastefully with pine furniture and a wood burning stove for those cooler winter evenings. The lounge has Satellite TV, video recorder radio/CD player, puzzles, chess set, playing cards and patio doors leading onto a private terrace with tables, cusihioned seating,Bar-B-Q, cushioned reclining chairs and it’s own lemon tree to give you added shade.

The kitchenette comprises of fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and electric hob.

The Carob Cottages is one of the newer cottages also at Quintassential, a light and airy one bedroom cottage with a large bedroom that has a double bed, large ceiling fan & patio doors leading on to the sun terrace. The Bedroom is large enough to also accommodate a single bed in there too.
The Carob has a new large luxury bathroom with shower, washbasin, w.c. bidet and shaver point.

The Quintassential is blessed with panoramic seaviews and spectacular countryside views, just what you need for a tranquil and relaxing holiday.
The Quintassential occupies an acre of hilltop with spectacular sea and countryside views. The gardens at Quintassential are marvellous with many bushes, plants and fruit trees, along with quiet areas to relax and absorb the views.
All the cottages have their own private south-facing terraces with tables, chairs and parasols and their own Bar-B-Q’s for al-fresco dining.
The Quintassential has a communal pool area. The pool measures 10 x 5 metres and sun loungers, parasols etc are provided for the use of the guests. We also provide pool towels and beach mats.

The Quintassential can accommodate from 2 to 14 people and the cottages can be let individually or as a whole.

Services Offered
On arrival at the Quintassential all our guests are greeted by the owners, there is a generous welcome hamper, bathrobes for our guests to use. We provide pool towels, beach mats, hairdryers and cots and high chairs are provided free of charge.

We also have a laundry service for a small fee and on selected evenings of the week we provide an evening meal option. Traditional home cooked Portuguese food is served on the owners private terrace overlooking the town of Loule.
Restrictions
We do not allow pets at the Quintassential and we do not permit smoking in the cottages.
