Surrounding Area
Safely tucked away from the fast pace of city life Smithers is surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Hudson Bay Mountain, the Bulkley River and Babine Mountain Range.
The lively town of approx. 6000 people is still treasured as a wilderness hideaway by its residents and surrounding community.Yet we have all the amenities and securities of civilization.
Accommodations
Surrounded by fields, trees and fresh air the Logpile Lodge is situated on 160 private acres (~64 ha) overlooking the beautiful Bulkley Valley. Right between the lively town of Smithers and the superb 32,000 hectares Babine Mountain Provincial Park the Lodge is the ideal place to start exciting trips into the outdoors or stay at home relaxing, reading, unwinding with a glass of wine.
Rooms/Suites
The smell of the trees still lingers in the hallways and each square inch of every log tells the story of the labour of love that was put into this building. Our guest rooms are cozy and comfortable, the ones on the lower floor come with log walls and posts, whereas the ones on the top floor have cathedral ceilings. Each room has its own 3 piece bathroom, a large balcony and big windows with a fabulous view. The beds come with high quality mattresses, Australian sheep wool duvets, down pillows and cotton bedding - ingredients for a great rest!
Amenities
European style dinners are offered several times a week. Our goal is to prepare meals with quality ingredients and fresh produce (organic where possible), everything made from scratch and with a dash of love. You’ll find some very soothing wines on our wine list, quite a few from BC.
