A recipient of the American Institute of Architects highest award, the 53-room Inn features elegantly simple and exquisitely designed guestrooms. In-room refrigerators are stocked with complimentary refreshments and every evening guests are invited to the Lodge for a wine and hors d'oeuvre reception. A full breakfast is served daily in the dining room. Guests interact with trained naturalists, who provide daily tours and lectures that bring to life the plantation's natural environment.
Handcrafted furniture, wide plantation shutters, and braided rugs evoke a feeling of the past while warm, cypress paneling, wood-burning fireplaces and 150-gallon baths add to the ambiance. Ashley River Room
This is the only room of its kind at the Inn at Middleton Place. Guests enjoy a private balcony overlooking the winding Ashley River, a spacious living room area with a large wood-burning fireplace, king bed and luxurious bath with separate shower and skylight.

Grand Rooms feature river and woodland views plus a comfortable sitting area with a full-size couch in front of the fireplace. Upgraded amenities are also included.

Directions
From Downtown Charleston:
From downtown Charleston, take U.S. Highway 17 South across the Ashley River Bridge and stay in the right lane. Take the Highway 61 North exit just after the bridge. Follow Highway 61 North (Ashley River Road) for approximately 14 miles. The Inn at Middleton Place will be on the right.
From Charleston International Airport:
From the Charleston International Airport, take I-526 West (toward Savannah). Take the Ashley River Road North Exit (#11) which exits onto the Paul Cantrell Parkway. Then it turns into the McConnell Parkway. Follow McConnell Parkway north to Bees Ferry Road. Turn right onto Bees Ferry Road until it ends at Hwy. 61 (Ashley River Road). Turn left onto Ashley River Road. The Inn atMiddleton Place is approximately 6 miles north on the right side of the road.
From Kiawah/Seabrook:
From Kiawah or Seabrook Islands, follow Betsy Kerrison Pkwy. (Hwy. 20) north. The road turns into Bohicket Road and then into Main Road. Follow Main Road to U.S. Highway 17; cross over Highway 17 and travel one block to Bees Ferry Road. Turn right and follow Bees Ferry Road until it dead ends. Turn left onto Highway 61 North and proceed for about 6 miles. the Inn at Middleton Place will be on the right.
From I-95 traveling South:
From Interstate 95 South, take the Charleston exit onto I-26 and follow for approximately 60 miles toward Charleston. Exit at Summerville (U.S. Highway 17A). Follow Highway 17A through Summerville for approximately 8 miles to Bacon's Bridge Road (five corners intersection). Turn left onto Bacon's Bridge Road (Highway 165) and follow for about 10 miles. Turn left onto Highway 61 South and proceed for about 5 miles. The Inn at Middleton Place will be on the left.
From I-95 traveling North:
From Interstate 95 North, take the Charleston (U.S. Highway 17) exit. Follow Highway 17 for approximately 60 miles. Turn left onto Main Road and travel one block to Bees Ferry Road. Turn right and follow Bees Ferry Road until it dead ends. Turn left onto Highway 61 North and proceed for about 6 miles. The Inn at Middleton Place will be on the right.
