Description of Active Adventure

Every day your party is driven to the new Pez Vela Marina where you will board your sportfishing crusier and then speed out to the local fishing grounds. On board you will be served snacks,soft drinks,lunch and beer or wine. Each sportfishing crusier comes with captain and two mates,conventional gear and bait. A round 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. your boat returns to the marina. Upon your arrival your party is driven back to the resort,hotel or house.

Typical Itinerary

Day1: Arrive in Guatemala City. Reception by a great sailfishing English speaking staff or owner. Transfer to your choice of stay. Ride takes about 11/2 hours, drinks served.

Days 2-4: Full fishing days. You and your party will be served a full American breakfast before transfer to the marina. Typical fishing day is 7am until 4 or 4:30pm lunch and beverages will be served on board the sportfishing boats. In addition to the abundant sailfish population, you will have the opportunity to catch blue/black marlin, yellowfish tuna, dorado, roosterfish and wahoo.

Day 4 if your flight back home leaves before 10.30am your last night will be in one of our quality hotels in the viva zone. If your departure leaves after 10.30am your choice of last night stay.

Day 5: Depart for USA. (Note: our hotels serve/include breakfast)

Languages - Our staff members are bi-lingual so don’t worry about speaking Spanish.

Age range range is between 10 to 75 years.

Sleeping and meals

Our tours range from one to 24 persons,the private house can hold up to a party of eight. Both the Villas del Pacifico Resort and the Costa Verda Hotel have single,double,triple rooms along with bungalow that hold up to six persons. Both the Villas del Pacifico and the Costa Verda have full service resturants,your private house comes with your our private chef, waitress and maid.

Dry season: mid October to mid may

Daytime temperatures on the pacific coast range between 80-90F and cool down into the 70s in the evening. High humidity and electronic equipment are not the best of friends.

Reservations

To reserve a sportfishing package with The Great Sailfishing Company, a deposit of 50%, per angler is required. Final payments are due 60 days prior to your departure. Reservations are not confirmed until deposits are received.

Large Groups

The Great Sailfishing Company typically handles parties of 1 to 8 anglers. However, we can accommodate larger groups and corporate functions with advance notice. Special pricing extended to groups 12 and larger.
