Surrounding Area
The village of Galilea perches in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountain range at 570 metres, nestled into utterly tranquil countryside, but still only 20 minutes from the island's main attractions: Palma, beaches, marinas and sophisticated restaurants. Although we admit to bias, we know of no other place on the island so utterly unspoilt and peaceful.
Each of the houses and studios has a south-facing private terrace with breathtaking views over the valley to the sea, and of Galilea, considered one of the prettiest villages on Mallorca.
The new Scott's is a sister hotel to Scott's Townhouse Hotel in Binissalem, reviewed this year as one of "The World's Fifty Best Small Hotels", and of which the UK's Good Hotel Guide said, "Heaven! The most satisfying hotel I've ever stayed in."

All the attention to detail, taste, warmth of service and commitment to quality that characterise the original Scott's are reflected in the new property. They are the standards that have already been set, and they are what guests can count on finding at Scott's Galilea.
Accommodations
Scott's Galilea was designed to fill a gap in today's travel market. Many people want the standards of a luxury hotel – fine beds and linens, sophisticated decor and quality furnishings – but at a lower cost and without ancillary hotel services they may not use. They want the independence of self-contained accommodation, but don't want to have to clean or cook for themselves, at least not all of the time. They want both worlds: the amenities and convenience of a good hotel, but the independence of a self-catering villa or apartment.

Scott's Galilea offers the ideal mix – guests can order a sumptuous breakfast brought on a tray and served to them on their private terrace any time until 11:00 a.m. A maid comes an hour later to clear, clean and tidy. But in addition, each unit has a kitchen so guests may prepare meals if they choose, or just make the occasional cup of tea or coffee. Informal but high-standard evening meals are offered three nights a week and on Sunday there is a late-afternoon barbecue. For other evening meals, there is a choice of seven restaurants within ten minutes, ranging from simple pub food to sophisticated fare at the upper end of the spectrum. The idea is to offer guests flexible service and independence as well as all the comforts of a fine hotel, and at affordable prices.

Rooms/Suites
There are three small houses, two of them with one bedroom, plus bath, sitting room, kitchen, private terrace, and one with two bedrooms and two baths, with two terraces, kitchen and sitting room. There are also seven studio suites, each with sitting room/bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and private terrace.

Directions
Leave the airport and follow the signs for Palma. Once on the motorway toward Palma, travel approximately 2 miles (3 kilometres) and look for signs for the "Via de Cintura" (Ring Road) on your right. Exit right onto the Via de Cintura and proceed approximately 3 miles, ignoring the blue signs for the turnoff to the motorway to Alcudia and the North. When you see the big new football stadium in front of you, move into the right lane and turn off onto the road marked for “Puigpuynent”.
Go straight through two roundabouts and for the next 1.5 miles you'll be passing an ugly industrial estate and two quarries. Keep your windows rolled up against the fine dust. You'll see a sign indicating 11 kilometres to Puigpuynent, about 7 miles.
As the road begins to rise, you're suddenly in pine forests and the rest of the journey will be pretty. Pretty curvy, too.
As you enter Puigpuynent, you'll see a Mexican restaurant on the right-hand side and then the road Ts with a smaller road at a stop sign. There is a Mallorquin bar/restaurant on your right. Galilea is indicated to the left. Make the turn and follow along through the town. You'll see an English pub, The Rose, on your right after about 200 yards.
Now comes the even curvier bit. A sign indicates Galilea in 4 kilometres, about 2.5 miles. Second and third gears are called for along this stretch, with two or three sharp switchback curves. You'll be climbing to almost 2,000 feet.
Once you've reached Galilea, turn right into the village and look for signs that say “Esbart” the name of the place before we took it over. You'll just follow those signs up and up and up until you come out on a ridge at the top, with views in both directions, down to the sea and across to the next range of mountains.
Turn left down the little access drive, park in the car park, and press the bell at the top of the steps leading down into the complex. Someone nice will come to meet you. Prepare to have a wonderful holiday!
We look forward to your visit.
