Active Adventure

From intense whitetail tracking & hunting through ravines & woods; to leisurely hiking or just a ride on our all-terrain golf cars on the beautiful trails through the woods & past tranquil waters, Pheasant Ridge can be any type of vacation that you want it to be! Bring your own dog or have a guided hunt for upland birds, try our trap range or rifle range, or fish our fully stocked ponds for bass, perch, trout, & blue-gill. Enjoy the many trails, pick wild raspberries & black berries, or birdwatch the many colorful songbirds that visit us. Our Sporting Clay Course rates high in variety & is the most scenic in Wisconsin. Whether you are an experianced sportsman, or a beginner, we offer just what you may need for an exciting or relaxing weekend! Certified instructors available for guests along with any gear you may need. Nearby you can also canoe the Black River, try out those new golf clubs, shop the many antique & quaint shops of the area, or visit the local day spa or casino.

Typical Day

Up early & sip coffee with fruit & bagels in your cabin, or sleep in & enjoy a delicous brunch of Eggs Benedict in our forrested Lodge; fish one of our stock ponds or schedule a bird hunt or sporting clay shoot.
Lunch can be grilled breast of chicken with purple cabbage slaw outside on the "Sunset Deck", or grab a quick bite in your cabin (along with a nap by the fireplace).
Another afternoon shoot or hike, or off on a day trip to experiance the many activites of the area.
Evening refreshments in the Lodge with an elegant dinner of Rock Cornish hens with wild rice, followed by conversations on the covered deck with fireplace. Listen to the trickeling fountains & waterfalls, enjoy the evening (no mosquitoes!). Shoot some trap from our lighted range right from the lodge & then retire to your private hot tub!
