Typical Day

Tour leaders: Robert Panzer, founder and owner of Tailored Travel,

and his co-leaders will share with you their passion for New Zealand and their knowledge of the country in a professional way. We will introduce you to our fellow New Zealanders and share some ‘insightful’ information. Operating from Nelson, New Zealand since 1995, Tailored Travel is a company that really cares about their guests - and emphasizes the personal touch.
Activities: These will depend on your preferences. The many possibilities include outdoor pursuits such as walking, fishing, golf, sailing, horseback riding, kayaking, visits to wildlife and bird sanctuaries, vineyard visits, areas of historical and contemporary cultural significance; and an astounding range of landscapes: alpine, coastline, rain forest and farmland.
You can be assured that every detail is taken care of, also recognizing the spontaneous opportunities appearing on a tour. We speak English, Dutch, French and German.

Age range, type of group

Time/pace: You get to see and do what you want to do and see- at your pace and at your leisure. (Fast or slow) Your personal guide is always there for you, with support and advice. There is no pressure; the only deadline may be your return flight home (even that can be subject to change). A minimum of two and a maximum of four guests, you and your traveling friends or the family..

Sleeping and meals

Meals: All meals are included. Breakfasts are at your luxury accommodations; lunches and dinners will be at contemporary restaurants, providing gourmet meals with fresh and local produce.

Accommodations: Charming, luxury bed-and-breakfasts, lodges and / or farmstay, all with private, ensuite bathrooms, tailored to your taste, and complying with our high standards of quality, the hosts, location, service, character and history..

Restrictions

All our tours are private, personalized, environmentally friendly and non-smoking.
We also have experience with people with impaired mobility.

Rates

Travel dates: Because we are based in New Zealand, with great contacts and excellent providers, we can be very flexible, and we can tailor a tour around YOUR travel dates.

Transportation: You will have the luxury of traveling in a Toyota Previa 8 seater Van, equipped with small library (find those Maori names), binoculars (Birding), snacks, fruit, water, first aid etc.

Land cost: The pricing information is flexible because you will receive a personalized and individualized package. We talk to you first to establish your itinerary and the price, making sure this is tailored to your requirements. This proves that Tailored Travel is a company that really cares about their guests- and emphasizes the personal touch.
Your complete package will include airport shuttles, all ground transportation, all meals, luxury accommodations, and boat transportation. You will also receive maps, detailed information before and during the tour. Your professional and personal guide will be with you exclusively, from pick up until drop off at the airport. Some activities, such as wine tasting and entry fees are included in the land cost. Personal expense and air travel excluded.
