Activity/Tour
The Wairere Boulder Valley is composed of thousands of basalt boulders with sizes up to 30 m, and marked by chemical leeching. They are stacked on top of each other filling a complete valley. A walkway going over many bridges steps and stairs leads you over, under, between and around the boulders into the back of the valley, onto a platform from where you can enjoy the view over the valley.
Its location is Horeke in the Hokianga Harbour, Northland, New Zealand.
