Built in 1899 by lumber baron Stedman Wheeler, and named after the brook flowing nearby, the inn and its landmark twin gazebos, trellised gardens, and rambling wraparound porch, evoke images of a genteel New England past. Innkeepers Bob & Carla Burridge bring their unique talents to Thatcher Brook, making it one of the most popular destinations around. Rooms/Suites

Guest rooms are scattered throughout the Inn, comprised of three buildings. The Main House is home to sixteen charming guest rooms, most of them on the second floor, and some accessible via the porch. The Carriage House accommodates two guest rooms with gas-burning fireplaces, whirlpool baths and extensive sitting areas. The Wheeler House, the original home of lumber baron Stedman Wheeler, offers rooms upstairs and downstairs that are cozy and warm. Whatever room you choose at Thatcher Brook, you'll find a private bath and telephone. We offer a range of rooms, at a range of prices and each day begins with a full country breakfast.
