
Surrounding Area
Located just North of Jacksonville, Amelia Island is a 13 mile long Barrier Island. Our beaches are great for swimming, strolling, collecting sea shells, and centuries old shark teeth. Horse back riding on the beach is another great diversiion. National Parks, and State Parks are a short drive, kayaking, fly-fishing, off shore fishing, water sports, scenic sunsest boat tours are just a few of the many things to do. We are located steps from the Historic Victorian Seaport Village, explore Shops, Restaurants, Antique Malls, and watch the Sun go Down over the Returning Shrimp Boats.


Accommodations
Porches for rocking and relaxing surround the Inn. Centuries old Live-oak trees provide shade. A New-Orleans style courtyard complete with bubbling fountain and a Gazebo offer a quiet place to eat breakfast or enjoy a Cocktail, Wine or one of our over 100 Beers from around the world. The Pub offers a pleasant fire in the Winter months, the Parlor also has a fireplace and books to read, or a card table for Bridge or Board games.
Rooms/Suites

Rooms are decorated in individual style and are all different. We have Four Poster King Size beds, romantic Queen sized beds. Two small rooms have twin beds. Our Suite is perfect for a family, a Queen sized bed for Mom and Dad, and a pull-out sofa for one of two children.
Most rooms have Fireplaces, and two-person Jacuzzi tubs. All rooms are Air Conditioned. Television and Phones are the only wordly intrusions (lots of our guests happily ignore both).
Amenities
A Conference Room for up to 24 participants is available. Our Restaurant is open for Inn Guests many locals enjoy our Boarding House Style (all you can eat) Lunches and Dinners, Sunday Brunch is a favorite. For Business travelers, we offer a DSL line for fast downloads or uploads, a copier, and fax machine are also available.
Services Offered
Picnic lunches can be prepared with advance notice. A full service Spa is a short walk away.
Restrictions
We welcome visitors with children (certain rooms). All rooms are Non Smoking--smoking is permitted on our porches and in our Pub. Pets are welcome--we do have a couple of easy rules (call for info).

Directions
Exit #373/129 from Interstate 95, travel East over the large Bridge over the Intercoastal Waterway onto the Island. Stay on that road Hwy A-1-A, it becomes 8h Street and heads North. Turn left (West) at Centre Street which is the entrance into the Historic Downtown, proceed 5 blocks and turn left onto South 3rd Street. Look for our Eight Flags flying out front.
