Accommodations

The inn's atmosphere is rural, relaxed, and informal. Like the chalets in Austria, the inn has large exposed wood beams. There are: a large living room with 20 foot window (where breakfast is also served) and large stone fireplace; cozy self-serve pub/gameroom with woodstove and booths that are perfect for a game of backgammon or checkers; balconies; garden deck; 40 acres of hiking/cross country skiing trails in the forest behind the inn; full country breakfasts that include homemade breads, fresh fruit creations, and hearty main dishes.

Rooms/Suites

Rooms with private baths, rooms that share a connecting bathroom with the room next door, two suites on the third floor. Also cabins that are open from late May through the end of October (main building is open year around). The rooms are furnished with antiques, quilts, comforters. The cabins have woodstoves. All rooms have one or two queen size beds.

Amenities

Self-serve pub/gameroom with complimentary refreshments and snacks, garden deck, forest trails for hiking, snowshoeing (the inn has snow shoes you can use free of charge on their trails).

Restrictions

Pets in cabins by prior arrangement only, well behaved children over five are welcome, no smoking inside.

Rates & Availability

Rates vary from $70/night to $175/night (subject to change). Those rates are for two people and include full cooked breakfast. VT room tax of 9% is extra. No fees or gratuities are charged.

Directions

Interstate 89 to exit 10. Take Route 100 S through Waterbury. The inn is three miles south of Waterbury on Route 100 S. There is a large green and white sign on the left (the inn is about 150 yards from the road and cannot be seen from the road). Turn left into the driveway, bear left at the fork, go up the small hill, make a u-turn to the right at the top of the hill into the parking lot on the right.

Discounts Offered

Stays of four nights or more earn a 10% discount except during fall foliage period (mid Sept to mid Oct) and Christmas week.
