Description of Surrounding Area
Pleasant View abuts the White Mountain National Forest and sits in the valley formed by the western mountains of Franconia Notch. While Pleasant View provides access to unspoiled natural areas it's close to family attractions and activities, including outlet shopping and dining. Winter activities include sking, skating, snowmobiling, and sleighrides. In the summer there's canoeing, golf, horseback riding, hiking (The Appalachian Trail runs along the ridge behind the house), swimming, fishing, and biking. There are summer theaters, galleries, spas, health, and tennis clubs as well and info is available on these activities in the house. Food, supplies, and restaurants are available in Franconia.
Pleasant View is a three bedroom, year round restored post and beam Cape overlooking the Kinsman Mountains. On the first floor, the house features a large living room with fireplace and a well stocked library, a smaller bedroom, full kitchen, and dining room. On the second floor both bedrooms (one with king size bed, the second with twins) offer stunning mountain views; a large bath as well as a laundry area occupy the rest of the floor.
There is a deck with gas grille for outdoor barbeques, and Pleasant View is fully equipped with all utensils and modern appliances including a phone, microwave, stereo, VCR, TV, and CD player. There are 3 mountain bikes as well as sporting equipment in the cellar for your use. We invite you to call to arrange a visit to see Pleasant View.
