Surrounding Area

Our property is 1 km from down town Fernie and 10 minutes from Fernie Alpine Resort which boasts some of the best powder skiing in the world. Every summer Fernie hosts several major mountain biking races. We have 200+ km of single track mountain biking trails. It also has some of the best fly fishing in North America, with easy access to 3 different rivers. Class 4 rapids available on two different rivers. There are 6 mountain peaks that surround Fernie and all have hiking to scrambling routes to the top. We have one 18 hole golf course, many hiking trails, ridge walks, caves, much wildlife, and a diverse ecosystem to explore.

Accommodations

Our home is on a ridge top with a panoramic view of our surrounding rocky mountain peaks. Our balcony has an 8 man hot tub overlooking the valley, and a large back yard that joins onto hiking and mountain biking trails. We have a suite with a walk out patio to a barbecue area. We also have a large attached garage which is great for storing gear- mountain bikes, fishing gear, skis, kayaks etc.

Rooms/Suites

We have two rooms with queen beds and private baths.
We have one large 2 bedroom suite which comforatably sleeps 6 and perhaps up to 8 with children. This suite has a washer, dryer, full kitchen, living room with stero, tv, and VCR. It has heated tile floors.

Directions

From Highway 3, turn South onto 13st (at the 7 eleven, petrocanada). Proceed along 13th st, across railway tracks and up the hill. At the top of the hill turn left on Ridgemont Dr, left again at the T intersection. Our house is 69B Ridgemont Dr., a large white house with green trim and a sign above the garage.
