Get away and relax at The Wald Ranch

Active Adventure

Guests can observe many of the ranch activities such as doing the morning chores of feeding the animals. Many guests also take early morning runs or hikes on the ranch.

Typical Day

Early morning ride then enjoy a home-cooked ranch type breakfast. Go out and help with ranch activities such as f feeding the cats, horses, cows. Many do their morning exercises on the ranch. Guest usually then go site seeing at the Little Bighorn Battlefield, Yellowtail Dam, Sheridan WY or the Hardin Museum to name a few. In June many attend the Custer Reinactment and in August the Crow Fair. In the evening guests enjoy a ranch style evening meal and visit around the kitchen table. We often have a BBQ at the campsite by Lodge Grass Creek. Many enjoy nightfall and looking at the beautiful sunset and stars. We are very flexible and allow guests the freedom of choosing their schedules as much as possible.

Age range, type of group

The ranch is geared for singles, couples, families and groups.The guest accommodations are ground level, however there are some stairs to reach the dining level.

Sleeping and meals

Lodging is in the lower level of our log home. We have two king sized beds and one single bed with a shared bathroom. The meals are home cooked and prepared by myself and eaten family style in the upper level of our home. We have many interesting conversations around the "kitchen table". Many times we have a BBQ at the campsite by the creek.

Restrictions

If you have a pet we need to know what type it is before making a decision. We have pets of our own and that can cause problems. Our house is smoke-free but we don't mind people smoking on the decks. We only ask that smokers be conscious of the fire hazard on a ranch!

Rates

Our rates are $120 a night per room. . This rate is all inclusive except for the accommodation tax.
