Within 10 minutes drive are a range of Lake and ocean beaches for swimming, surfing, fishing or relaxing. Forest for exploring, walking . The rainforest on the property is being nurtured as part of a bushcare project and thus has a protective covenant over most of the property.

Accommodations

The setting is our 60 acre property on the edge of the Colquhoun forest. Goldsmith’s in the Forest extends Lakes Entrance from the Sea/ Surf ,caravan culture of Lakes Entrance holidays to include the history and ecology of the area, and, did I mention the food? Let us welcome you with afternoon tea and spoil you with dinner in the modern Australian style before lingering over a multi course breakfast. In between we can take you for a stroll and tell you about our forest or you can relax on the balcony, in the house or the conservatory – where only the bold try the clawfoot bath with, or without, champagne“.

4 double rooms with queen sized beds, their own ensuite, and individual air-conditioning each has a different outlook and from 3 of the 4 you can step out onto a secluded lawn area.

Darilyn Qualifed as a chef at Willam Angliss College in Melbourne. She prepares meals for guests and their guests using fresh local produce and a menu arranged to suit your tastes and dietary requirements

Facilities Goldsmith’s in the forest is a response to our environment, experience and skills. We have lived on the edge of this rainforest gully for 17 years and enjoyed sharing it with visitors and local groups. We designed our accommodation to provide an experience that melds the facility with our interest in listening to guests and responding and knowledge of our environment and locale. The personal service possible in a small owner operated specialty accommodation and entertainment venue is the difference we set out to make the unique feature of Goldsmith’s.
