Description of Surrounding Area

TLC is located on Watts Bar Lake and about an hour southwest of Knoxville, north of Chattanooga, & west of the Smokies. Watts Bar is the Granddaddy of the Southern Great Lakes! Some vacationers like to savor their time on the lake while others like to take short sidetrips. Visit our actual web site. Jack Nicklaus golf course, Lookout Mountain, Ochoee whitewater rafting, Civil War battlefields, Appalachian Museum, Cherokee Forest, Chattanooga Aquarium, Great Smoky Mountains, etc....

Each cottage/cabin/chalet is privately-owned and therefore different, but all are directly on Watts Bar Lake with their own private docks and all are fully-equipped and furnished. These are privately owned,luxury homes on the lake.

Each TLC home varies. We have 12 different privately-owned lakefront homes and 1 efficiency apartment. All are on Watts Bar Lake with private docks. They vary from beds for 2 people up to beds for 16.

Amenities

Each TLC home is privately owned so amenities vary but all must meet the TLC standard for quality and cleanliness. Some have whirlpool tub, fireplace, screened-in porch, sandy beach, satellite TV, DVD player, phone, equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, stereo, pool table, baby grand piano, but ALL are ON Watts Bar Lake and include private docks (some are covered) and marinas and restaurants nearby. ALL are ON Watts Bar Lake in east TN.

Services Offered

Sheets, towels (excluding beach/hot tub towels), soaps, paper products, and housekeeping after you leave Just walk in as if it were your own. Bring food, clothes, and a big smile - the rest is here for you including clean up service after you leave. Bring your boat or rent one from a nearby marina. Your dock is outside your door.

Restrictions

Each TLC home is different. Some allow pets, several are non-smoking.

Rates & Availability

Starting at $140 per night, minimum 3 night stay. Rates vary depending on cottage size, amenities, and number of people. Check with TLC for holiday rates. Check with TLC about specials and off-season rates - 2/1 - 5/15 and 9/15 - 10/31.

Other Information

Whether you sail, fish, or cruise, you are encouraged to bring your own boat and dock it in front of any TLC cottage you choose, or rent a boat from one of several marinas nearby. Watts Bar Lake is known as the "King of the Southern Great Lakes" and it is too large to ever really get crowded. From fishing to boating to swimming to any water sport including watching the waves go by, TLC is a lake lover's paradise. Also, you can see bald eagles, ospreys, great blue herons,-bird watcher's paradise!

Each home is located on Watts Bar Lake and each is at a different location. In general, Watts Bar Lake is southwest of Knoxville, north of Chattanooga, and due west of the Great Smoky Mountains - all about an hour away from the lake.
