Big Island Cove Resort Stayed in the campground in early June/09. The resort is very quiet and clean. Campsites are spacious. It shows that the owners take pride in their resort. I will definitely stay there again.

Description of Surrounding Area

The lush green of the boreal forest, the sparkling blue of our crystal clear lake waters and the history of this natural environment park are matched with top quality tourism services and recreational facilities.
Big Island Cove Resort is family orientated with only 14 cabins and 20 campsites which translates into "No Crowds" and enables you to relax, fish, swim or do just as you wish while enjoying the quiet nature that surrounds you.
Lac des Isles is a large, clean lake with a hard sand bottom. There are plenty of hidden bays to sunbathe in. Several islands offer a picturesque interruption. Water-skiers, boaters, windsurfers and sailors have miles of open water to enjoy.
Excellent fishing for Northern Pike, Walleye and Yellow Perch in Lac des Isles and over 27 lakes to fish in the area.

Open year round our spacious, modern, deluxe and rustic cabins are fully equipped to suit your family requirements. The cottages include: quality beds and bedding, electric refrigerators, propane stoves, table and chairs, dishes, pots, pans and cutlery, coffee pot, toaster, wood/propane heaters, picnic table and barbeque/campfire pits. The cabins are all within 50' of the lake and all are completed with large sundecks.

Amenities

Drop in for a complimentary morning coffee at the lodge and find out the hot lure of the day from Brenda. Our store carries all tackle, souveneirs, confectionary and groceries you'll require to complete your vacation. Fishing licences are available here and we also rent boats and motors, canoes, paddleboats and tubes. The games room contains a pool table and coin operated arcade games. Beach volleyball, horseshoe pits, kids playground and hiking trails are also on site. Our boat launch, mooring facilities, docks and a screened fish cleaning hut are all available to you at no charge.

Pets are welcome, we only ask they are kept on a leash.

Rates & Availability

Cabins range from $32-$95/nite. Rates are based on 2 adults plus children. Any additional adults after 2 are an additional $8/nite. No additional charge for children.

Directions

Big Island Cove Resort is easily accesible...just 435 kms from Edmonton, AB and approximately the same from Saskatoon, SK. Our roads are all paved except for the last 10 kms. Just head west from Goodsoil and follow the signs.
