Surrounding Area

Wilmer Pond Cottages are located near Owen Sound,Georgian Bay. Pond fishing as well as lake and shore fishing are a must. Horseback riding, golf at 6 different courses all within a 5 to a 30 minute drive. Hike the Bruce trail, shop at the local flea markets, attend the Saturday night stock-car races in Varney, or the harness racing in Hanover. Swimming is available at the Durham Conservation Area, the Varney Pond, or at Sauble and Wasage beaches. Canoe rentals are available in Hanover or Paisley for using on the Saugeen River.

Vacation Rental Property

Our vacation homes are actually vacation homes in the country-side. Some are brick, some have siding and some have outside verandah's. Most of the houses have lots of natural woodwork. The houses in general are furnished with rustic furniture, and all the walls are decorated in antique pictures. Three of the homes have gas fireplaces. You will have a picnic table, and a place to have an outdoor campfire at night, if you so choose.

Sleeps & # of Bedrooms

Some of the houses will sleep 8,10 or 12, depending on if you rent a 4 or 6 bedroom. Most come with 2 bathrooms. The beds are original cast iron or wooden beds, with orginal quilts and comfortable mattresses.

Amenities

The houses are equipped with a stove,fridge,micro-wave,dishwasher,and washer & dryer,T.V. and toaster, as well as cutlery, pots & pans, & bedding. Bring your own towels and kitchen linen

For pets and smoking, it is best to call ahead of time.

Rates & Availability

Our summer rates vary from $600 to $1400/week(G.S.T. tax extra)-Canadian dollars, and all bookings must be for a week, during the summer months. During all other seasons, bookings may be as little as a 2 night stay. For holidays, call for rates to 519-369-5717.

Our main office is located on Hwy#6, IKM. north of the town of Durham, Ontario on the west side of the road. Look for the yellow sign & fire number 313706 at end of lane.
