Description of Surrounding Area

Sun Peaks Resort is located in British Columbia's interior High Country. A short 45 minute drive from Kamloops B.C. Play the course on the mountain, or golf at the Dunes, or Riverside. Shuswap lake is a scenic back country drive in the summer. Enjoy the breath taking beauty of summer flowers in the alpine. Or fish in the area's nearly 200 lakes. Sun Peaks, a scaled down Whistler, without the crowds.

This slopeside (Back in Time Run), deluxe chalet is available year round. It has two large suites, and two small suites. The larger suites (1500 sq.ft each) sleep up to 10 people, and the smaller suites (700 sq.ft.) sleep 4-5 adults, or a small family. This chalet is beautifully finished inside and out. Sleeps & # of Bedrooms

The larger suites have 2.5 baths, three bedrooms, 2 decks, and a large open plan on the main floor. Creekside West's Upper Suite sleeps 10; East Upper Suite sleeps 8. Creekside West's Lower Suite sleeps 4; and East's Lower Suite sleeps 4.

The smaller suites are cozy units that have one & two bedrooms and a kitchenette. They also have great views.

Amenities

Each unit has at least one colour TV, VCR, & DVD player. There is a full bathroom in the smaller suites, and the large units have an ensuite, a main bathroom on the upper floor, and a powder room near the front entry. The large units have roomy, fully equipped kitchens, with large islands and dining tables. There is a 6-person outdoor hot tub outside in the back yard that faces directly at the ski-hill. Large suites have telephones. Cell phone work on the mountain.

Bedding and linen supplied. Cleaning is provided after departure.

Restrictions

No smoking. No pets. A very good dog/cat kennel is located on the road up to the resort.

Directions

Easy drive north east of Kamloops, B.C.

From Vancouver:
Take TRANS-CANADA HIGHWAY 1 eastbound from Vancouver. Choose the COQUIHALLA HIGHWAY to Kamloops. Approx. 3 ¼ - 3 ½ hours. Once into Kamloops, take the HIGHWAY 5 EXIT northbound to Jasper. Approx. 25 kilometers. Look for signs to Heffley Creek and Sun Peaks Resort and turn right into Heffley Creek. Turn left at the Heffley General Store. There is a directional sign for Sun Peaks here. Proceed along this two-lane road up the mountain for approximately 25 - 30 minutes. Burfield Drive is the first road to your right as you pass the "Sun Peaks info Kiosk" (just opposite the firehall).

From Seattle:
Take the I-5 NORTH to Bellingham. Exit on MERIDIAN STREET, heading east and north towards the Sumas border. Cross the border into Canada at Sumas and take the TRANS-CANADA HIGHWAY 1 eastbound for Hope. After Hope, you will be given the option of three highways: Choose the COQUIHALLA HIGHWAY to Kamloops. Approx. 2 ¾ hours Once into Kamloops, take the HIGHWAY 5 exit northbound to Jasper. Approx. 25 kilometers. Look for the signs to Heffley Creek and Sun Peaks and turn right into Heffley Creek.
