Whether you are a first time sailor or a seasoned cruising couple, Sailing Florida Charter's & Sailing School can make the best of your time on the water. Experienced captains and ASA sailing instructors, the #1 Charter destination in the U.S. , and a fleet of new Hunter Sailboats, provides a safe and exciting enviroment to experience all that sailing can be. Our school can start you in level #101, basic sailing all the way through coastal sailing and offshore passage making. If you are a qualified sailor already, bare boat charter from us or sail with one of our captains for a day or a week. Feel even more adventures, sail with us on a new Hunter 460 four cabin boat to Havana, Cuba at the end of May. Our fleet is located on Florida's Tampa Bay at the luxurious Renaissance Vinoy Resort - a short walk to museums, shops, fine dining and downtown St. Petersbug. You can use the health spa, swimming pool, walk to the nearby Pier and just people watch.

Destinations
If you are a student, you start you day with a sailing instructor to get to know your boat, equiptment etc. and start the sailing lessons on the water. If you come to charter a boat, our captains will check you out on the boat you chartered, make suggestions on a route that you may wish to take and answer any questions you may have -to make you chartering experience enjoyable. A typical typical 4 day mimi vacation may go like this;Day 1, Sail across Tampa Bay to Bahia Beach Island Resort & Marina. Enjoy the Sunset Lounge, Tiki Bar on the beach, and have a nice dinner at the Tropics Restaurant. Day 2, Sail south into the Gulf of Mexico to Longboat Pass. Follow the channel under the bridge to the intercoastal waterway and anchor off the famous Moore's Stonecrab Restaurant. Cook dinner on the boat or eat seafood on shore, but you're sure to make new friends at the anchorage.Day 3, Sail back into Tampa Bay to the Manatee River and the DeSoto Point anchorage. Spend the evening savoring a beautiful sunset and an onboard meal, enjoy the peacefulness of the area.Day 4, Leisurely sail back to the Vinoy Resort with a side stop at Egmont Key for lunch, take a dip in the resort pool when you are back at the dock.

Age range typically is 25 to 75 with some families taking kids a young as 10, sailing school is 14 and older.
Age range, type of group
Sleep on the boat, cook on the boat or the many restaurants on shore. If you are in the Sailing School, you can stay on the boat or the many hotels and B & B's around the area.
Sleeping and meals
No pets, no smoking inside sailboats, and you must be willing to enjoy yourself.
