Blackhawk Island is really a peninsula that borders the Rock River and Lake Koshkonong. Attractions within a ten mile radius include the Fort Atkinson Aquatic center which is a waterpark/swimming pool, The Fireside Restaurant/dinner theatre, Hoard Dairy museum, many antique shops. 12 miles away is the town of Cambridge with many shops and pottery works. 15 miles away is the Johnson Creek factory outlet mall. Madison and Milwaukee are each approx an hour away.

Features include: Ideal location 20 ft from river seawall, directly across the river from Koshkonong State wildlife area (and public hunting), satelite tv, fully equipped kitchen, Heat and Air con, canoe, fishing boat with 10hp motor, fishing poles and tackle, firepit on rivers edge, deck on rivers edge.
