Activity/Tour
Multi-day Sea Kayaking trips start off at a relaxed pace and gradually increase the paddling time each day based on your ability, the weather and the location of wildlife. Our philosophy is based on patience. Our trips are designed to take advantage of scenic locations, encounters with wildlife, monitoring wildlife and sea kayaking with the elements of current and wind in our favour. Select trips take in abandon native villages sites, hotsprings, areas of incredible marine life and human history. We hike/walk every day to compliment the sitting position used in sea kayaking. We practice low impact camping and hygiene. Most of all we believe the best experience in the outdoors is a shared experience.
Typical Day
A day in the life of our tours starts early with an optional early bird paddle. We have found this is an incredible time to get pictures of critters foraging in the forest, the water or the shoreline. Breakfast smells will fill the air as you wash up for the morning or catch your first cup of coffee. The coffee is always on at our camps. If it is a nomadic trip we will pack up and be on the water before 9 am. If it is a basecamped trip we are on the water by 8 am and awhere of what is happening with whales, hikes and the activities of native site guides or watchman. Lunch is usually taken before 1pm. This gives us a chance to take fluids in and ckeck the weather. The afternoons are reserved for rest and quiet exploration of destination sites like remote beaches, native sites, hidden passage, human history and hikes in the rainforest. We prefer to have some down time around 4pm and make a point of being off the water and preparing dinner early so we can take an evening paddle or end the date around a beach fire. Days are long in June, July and the first part of August. It does not get dark until 11:30 at latitude 51 degree North.
