Active Adventure

We offer Guided canoe trips, canoe rentals, and river shuttle service, for the Upper Missouri River, of Montana. We have 1 to 7 day float trips. We also offer combination canoe float trips, with train rides, horseback riding, museum visits, and tours of wild western saloons. Some canoe trips offer light to moderate hiking off the river. Season is from mid-May, to mid-October.

Typical Day

Floating class 1 river, pointing out historical sites, including Lewis & Clark campsites, exploring off the river, on light to strenuous hikes. On some tours, light rock climbing is also done. Enjoying guitar and song, under the stars at night, around the campfire. River guides supply all your needs, and entertain as well.

Age range, type of group

We accept all ages, but it is advisable, for children to be 8 or older. There is a danger of rattlesnakes, and all precautions are taken, to ensure safety of all.

Sleeping and meals

On our Guided tours, we sleep out in tents. There are no shower facilities. We camp out under the stars with campfire and tales. We do supply Pre/Post river float motel rooms, with our full service guided tours.

Restrictions

We do not allow pets on our tours.

Rates & Availability

Rates for canoe rentals are $35 per day for Mad River and Wenonah canoes, and $25 per day for Old Town and aluminum Michi Craft canoes. Shuttle rates range from $150 to $250 per vehicle for private vehicle shuttle. Special rates for canoe renters. Guided tour prices range from $625 to $1400 per person, depending on which package you want.

Other Information

We are licensed by the Department of Interior, BLM, to operate on the Upper Missouri River. We have a Coast Guard licensed river guide and we are members of the Lewistown, Montana Chamber of Commerce.

We offer 10% discounts, to groups of 8 or more, booked together as one unit, on our Guided Tours ONLY!
