Columbia Gorge Scenic Area offers, scenic views from car, many waterfalls, hiking, fishing, wind surfing, parasailing, backpacking.
Mt Adams Wilderness Area offers hiking, berry picking, white water rafting, horseback riding, cross country skiing, mountain climbing.
Mt St. Helens Volcano Monument offers, information centers, views and hiking trails in, on and around volcano
Eastern end of the columbia gorge offers access to the Washington and Oregon high desert areas with native american museums, antique shops, many great restuarants and cultural celebrations
One hour drive to the cultural facilities of Portland, Oregon
Bingen Haus is a large facility with several public rooms for relaxing, books for reading, videos and cable with a large screen TV/VCR, and outdoor hot tub. The house is european in design rather than victorian, with high ceilings, large windows with bold yet simple trim. There are many interesting pieces of antique furniture combined tastefully combined with the owners collection of artworks from many styles.

Description of Rooms/Suites
We have seven guest rooms, two are quite large with king sized beds. One of these rooms has a trudle bed for large families. The other has a mirrored canopy bed, this room has a dark, moon design motive and is quite popular.
There is one other large room with a queen size bed. This room is decorated using the color pink. The three other rooms are have double beds. One features a butterfly motive, another features a wood wainscotting. The last of these rooms is quite small and some guests find that reminiscent of the room they had as children.
We have several cots suitable for children and a folding bed suitable for a small adult that can be placed in most of the rooms.
There are two half baths on the first floor, two full baths on the second floor.

Amenities
The second floor balcony overlooks the foot hills of White Salmon and offers a cool restful place to sit, either at the end of the day or before breakfast.
The hot tub is in a secluded patio, has a view of the foot hills and is especially nice in the evening or early morning hours.
Services Offered
Breakfast for two is included. Breakfast could consist of espresso/latte's, fruit, sweet breads, and quiche. There are several other choices on the menu.
Restrictions
Bingen Haus is a no smoking environment.
No pets are permitted either in the house or overnight in a car cage.
Bingen Haus enjoys polite, well mannered children and has a selection of toys and games for all ages.
Rates & Availability
Room rates range from $85 to $50 per night double occupancy including use of facilities and breakfast. There is a charge of $10.00 for extra guests in a room or guests for breakfast.

Other Information
Bingen Haus is equiped with two dogs Ducky (an old Charpee) and Nina (an Aussy Shepherd puppy) as well as a resident cat Rumpleteaser. Rumpy will oblige suitable guests with a pet or even a visit to their room.
Directions
From Washington, take I-5 south to I 205. cross over to Oregon and take I-84 east to Hood River (exit 62). Turn left, take the Hood River Bridge to Washington, turn right at the end of the bridge on Highway 14, proceed east 2 miles. House is on left side just before the town of Bingen.
From Oregon, take I-84 to Hood River (exit 62) cross over the Hood River bridge to Washington. turn right at the end of the bridge on Highway 14, proceed east 2 miles. House is on left side just before the town of Bingen.
Discounts Offered
Off season rates from November 1 to March 31 (excluding holiday periods) are Friday and Saturday for the price of one night.
