Surrounding Area
The Greater Atlantic City area is replete with numerous attractions to please the most discriminating
traveler. The Casinos and shows, the Historic Village of Smithville, Noyes Museum, Historic Renault
Winery and the Forsythe Wildlife Preserve to name a few. Numerous golf courses with 30 miles of the Pitney House and with new courses being built.
Accommodations
The Dr. Jonathan Pitney House was built in 1799 in traditional colonial architecture. In 1848, the Doctor cut his house in half, moved half across the street and added a three story italianate design prevalent at that time. The 1799 potion of the Pitney Manor House is decorated in early 1800's style
and antiques while the 1848 addition is handsomely decorated with Victorian antiques.
The Doctor's Guest Quarters, immediately across the Commonyard from the Manor House, was built on the foot prints of the former Carriage House and consist of four suites.
Rooms/Suites
The Dr. Jonathan Pitney House has six (6) rooms and four (4) suites. All have private baths, gas fireplaces and are decorated with period antiques from the early and mid 1800's. Three of the four suites located in the Doctor's Guest Quarters have whirlpools, while the fourth is our handicapped suite with a large roll-in shower. All four suites have TV/VCR's, central airconditioning. The first floor suites have private patios and the second floor has a veranda.
Services Offered
The Pitney House offers free on site parking. Only 2 blocks from the Pitney House is a local train station which takes you to Atlantic City in 8 minute at a cost of only one dollar ($1.00). The AC station is adjacent to the New Atlantic City Convention Center

Rates from April 15 until October 15, 2000, range from $119.00 to 199.00, depending on the day of the week and the selection of the room or suite. Special mid-week commericial rates available.
