The Comox Valley is a travellers paradise with the Beaufort Mountains on one side and the ocean on the other and the communities of Comox and Courtenay in between. There is Skiing, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Swimming, Kayaking and Fishing.The first European explorers were Spanish followed by the British. There is a rich tradition of local Native culture.
Accommodations
The house, a South African rancher, was built in 1920 by a retired British Army Officer. The exterior is Douglas fir and the interior is finished in Cedar with Oak and Fir floors. The house has been maintained in its original style. In the summer, breakfast is served on the large veranda with an ocean view. House is situated on five acres of forest and has a walk on beach. Peaceful country setting
Rooms/Suites
"Natal" is an Ocean-view room with a queen size bed and single hide-a-bed. "Mbona" is a garden-view room with a queen size bed. Both rooms have ensuite bathrooms and private entrances.
A private, self-catering, fully furnished GUEST HOUSE is available for weekly rentals. Ideal for couples or small families. Completely equipped with living, dining, and kitchen area . Fridge, stove, BBQ, washer & dryer and wood stove.The combination bathroom is just off the main bedroom, a queen bed, feather duvet, a second bedroom has a double bed. The sitting room has a double hide a bed. TV VCR, stereo with a great view.

A short walk down the Lane, to the beach. Shore birds,eagles,harlequin ducks are just a few varieties of bird life you will see. Seals, Sea lions, graay whales and killer whales have been sighted. Binoculars are a must. Swimming, boating, kayaking, beach combing are afew of the activities you can do right here at Foskett House.

Foskett House, 7 minutes from the Comox Valley Airport and 10 minutes from the Powell River Ferry.Driving from Courtenay Hwy 19 turn right on Comox Road follow to Comox, left turn at traffic light Anderton Road. Right turn 4 way stop Guthrie Road, continue along Guthrie as far as it takes you Turn left Lazo Road. We are on the left side 484 Lazo Road across from the beach.
