Our main year-round campus and flagship location is situated in exciting Fort Lauderdale, known by many as the Venice of America due to its many natural waterways and canals. The school occupies the entire third floor of the elegant Barnett Bank Building, a landmark of downtown Fort Lauderdale, and is completely surrounded by glass with extraordinary views of the city. We are only minutes from beautiful Fort Lauderdale beach and within a short walk of Las Olas Boulevard, renowned for quaint shops and wonderful small caf鳠and restaurants. Students can enjoy the lovely park across the street, take advantage of the public transportation only a block away and walk to many exciting nearby cultural activities such as The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Museums of Science and Discovery, the Museum of Art, Riverwalk and so much more.


General Description:
Every year, students of all ages (16-75 years), and from many countries and professions, attend Eurolingua's numerous language, cultural, special interest and summer programmes worldwide. Students include private individuals, mature teenagers, university and MBA students, teachers, doctors, professional and business people, corporate executives, diplomats and embassy staff, government employees, military personnel and retired people.

One-to-One Homestays (16-75 years):
Live and study abroad for 1 to 4 weeks, on a full-board basis, in the private family residence of a Eurolingua tutor. You benefit from intensive one-to-one, professional language tuition, enjoy local excursions and share usual family social, cultural and leisure activities. Total immersion in the language, culture and way of life is guaranteed. We collect you at and return you to the nearest airport or railway station. Programmes are available all year.

Group Programmes (16-75 years):
You benefit from a minimum of 15 hours (20 lessons) per week tuition in small friendly groups at one of our Institutes, with cultural visits and leisure activities. In order to maintain linguistic and cultural continuity, accommodation is with a selected, local host family. Studio apartments are also available. Open all year, with and special programmes during the summer.

The Eurolingua Institute teaches 9 languages in 29 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA and Venezuela.

Typical Day

Standard I Programme: 09h00 to 12h45 Monday to Friday, 20 lessons per week. Structure, writing, reading, conversation.
Standard II Programme: 09h00 to 12h45 and 13h30 to 15h30 Monday to friday, 30 lessons per week.

University Preparation: students learn skills which will enable them to attend an American University or to enter the competitive field of international business (click here)

Social Activities and Excursions
Students attend an orientation session on the first day of class in order to learn more about the school and the surrounding area. They also receive a calendar of events for the month as well as detailed information about available excursions. In addition, the school hosts parties for almost any occasion including welcome breakfasts for new students. At the school, social activities are always an important part of the student's total experience.

Sleeping and meals

In order to maintain linguistic and cultural continuity, students are housed with a local American host family. Other accommodation options available.

Local Events
Fort Lauderdale hosts numerous fun events throughout the year, most of which are within walking distance of the school. Some of the exciting activities include the Downtown Festival of Arts, Week of the Ocean, Honda Golf Classic, the International Boat Show and Sandblast Celebration.

Places of Interest
Seminole Native Indian Village, an authentic tribal settlement; Butterfly World park which includes a live butterfly museum; Flamingo Gardens, live aligator and reptile exhibits, boating, fishing, camping grounds and much more.
Sports

Beach and sun lovers can enjoy scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing, water skiing and kayaking which are activities all within easy walking distance from the school. Bicycle and in-line skating paths along the beach greatly contribute to the enjoyment of this beautiful city. Tennis, golf, airboat rides, fishing and horseback riding provide additional leisure time activities in lovely surroundings. Broward County, where Fort Lauderdale is located, has 288 parks, three natural reefs, and the Everglades National Park with 750,000 acres (300,000 hectares) of unspoilt land.

The city, with its beaches and year round mild climate, offers visitors a variety of activities: golf, tennis, surfing, swimming, sailing, water-skiing, wind surfing, volleyball, rollerblading, cycling and much more.
