Acadia National Park with 60 miles of carriage roads, 120 miles of hiking trails, and miles of the most majestic coastline in the State of Maine. The carriage roads become some of the best cross-country ski trails in winter. The Graycote is here to welcome you in any season, whether you wish to "do it all" in the great outdoors, or simply relax and "recharge your batteries" on the country's most beautiful island.
Accommodations
A retreat from the everyday. Open year-round. The first Green Certified inn on Mt. Desert Island. Step back into the Bar Harbor of the quieter, more gracious Victorian era. Sleep in one of our spacious guest bedrooms, each with a king or queen bed - many with canopy. All rooms have private bath. Some rooms have a working wood-burning fireplace, sunroom, private sitting room, or balcony. Start the day with a tray of locally roasted coffee outside your room then come down to a full hot breakfast served to you at your table on our sunny enclosed porch. In the winter breakfast is served in the dining room in front of a wood fire. Inn occupies a one acre lot on a quiet side street in the Village - away from the traffic and noise of the Historic Corridor. Off-street parking for all guests.

Rooms/Suites
All rooms are decorated in a light summer Victorian style and have king or queen size beds, many with canopies. All rooms have private baths. Suites have private sitting rooms. large suites have two bedrooms, sitting room and bath.
Amenities
The Graycote's large lot provides you with spacious outdoor areas for recreation (croquet court) or relaxation in our hammocks, Adirondack chairs, garden benches or just stretching out on the lawn. Our antique-appointed veranda provides a wonderful spot for reading or getting to know your fellow guests better - or even napping. Free WiFi.
