Activity/Tour

Visit the Kruger National park or one of our selected private game reserves where you will enjoy viewing not only the Big Five but also learn to appreciate and enjoy the African bush. Watch and hear the bush come alive at sunrise or relax in the shade of a huge Maroela tree, sipping sundowners whilst the sun sets in the west. Listen to the night sounds and the silence around a camp fire while the star studded night skies unfold above.
For a special close-up encounter embark on a 4-day Wilderness Walking Trail, escorted by armed rangers. Seven trails all with unique scenic beauty provide unforgettable experiences. Groups of no more than eight explore the African bush for 3 days and 2 nights returning to the same base camp every night for healthy meals around the camp fire, after a shower in a reed-walled enclosure. This is a truely African bush experience.

Typical Day

After early morning coffee and rusks, depart on foot for a walk or with safari vehicle to explore the bush and wildlife. Breakfast is served around 09h00 on the banks of a river. You will learn about our fauna and flora and the many innovative uses some of the indigenous tribes have found for some plants and trees. Visiting some historical sites situated in and around the Kruger National Park where the diverse cultural life of the indiginous South Africans can be experienced. Return to base camp for a relaxing evening or venture on a night drive in a safari vehicle with an armed ranger to experience the African bush at night and try to spot some of the elusive nocturnal animals.

Age range, type of group

Any age group welcome, individuals, couples, family or groups. All children are welcome but children under the age of 12 are not permitted on walks.

Sleeping and meals

We overnight in African style bungalows or safari bush tents in the Kruger National Park or at a lodge in the private game reserves. In the event that accommodation is fully booked in the Kruger Park, we use superior guest lodges situated conveniently around the Park. For a total experience, meals are enjoyed around campfires in the bush, camping close to nature, inns and restaurants.

Restrictions

No pets are allowed on safari or at any of the lodges or the Kruger National Park. No smoking in any of our transport vehicles and all camps and lodges have smoker's areas.

We pride ourselves that we cater for individual requirements and rates are thus determined by the final itinerary. Our safaris are conducted on a semi-private basis; for packaged itineraries and rates we submit quotes, based on the client's requirements.
