Our B&B is ideally located for touring all of this beautiful and historic part of the province as short day trips will take you to all of points of interest in Southern Nova Scotia. One day take in the Lighthouse Route - Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Oven's National Park, Chester, etc. Another day enjoy Evangeline Trail - highest tides, a tidal bore, Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Valley, etc. Enjoy historical Halifax and picturique Peggy's Cove another day. There are numberous museums and other attractions nearby included the Ross Farm Museum only 2 km away.

Accommodations

Our 5000 square foot private esate is located on 4 acres of landscraped parkland, we are nestled between 2 rivers giving our guest the feeling of being on their own private island. The only part joining the mainland is an old stone wall which was made 150 years ago. Stoll the property and then relax in our screened in gazebo where the rivers meet. Enjoy the soothing sounds of the rivers or listen to your favorite music on one of the decks while reclining on lounge chairs, or one of our swing sets. We also serve breakfast on the upper deck if the guest wish. Our large intertainment room contains a 30 ft.bar (byob), sunken lounge, floor to ceiling fireplace, dance floor, satelite TV, stereo and tabletop games. If you are looking for quiet time enjoy one of our reading/sitting rooms. Our formal dining room looks out over the parkland and rivers.

Rooms/Suites

There are 4 rooms available for guest - The Spanish Room, The Captain's Room, The Sleigh Room, and The Canadian Room,(which is a one bedroom suite). Two of our rooms can convert into a 2 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms and a sittingroom. The sittingroom contains a double pullout chesterfield and also has a TV and Nintendo (great for entertaining children) All rooms have queen beds and private baths.

Conference space available, computer, internet, printer, etc. Exercise area, Sauna in the Sleigh Room bathroom, Nintendo, Satelite TV and stereo in two area and also in one/two bedroom suite. Music available on either deck, screened in gazebo with power, fishing on property (in season) Private fresh water lake nearby which host would be happy to essort you to. Entertainment rooms can feel like your own private night club or a place to unwind and relax in. Restaurants nearby. BBQ for guest use in case you just want to stay in for the evening.

Come, unpack and enjoy your stay by taking advantage of all we have to offer. Unpack for a few days and enjoy being centrally located for touring. We are open all year, the fall colors are spectacular. Great area for cross country skiing. Ski Martock only 20 minutes away.

Directions

From Halifax take Highway 103 to Highway 12 (Exit 9)or Highway 3 to Chester Basin and make a right on Highway 12, 15 minutes to New Ross, at churches/flashing light make a right toward Windsor, 1/2 km on left side is Gold River Estate B&B.

From Highway 101 take Highway 12 (exit 13) or Highway 1 to Kentville to Highway 12, 25 minutes to New Ross, at churches/flashing light make a left towards Windsor, 1/2 km on left side is our B&B
