Description of Activity/Tour

Gila is a rural river valley community in southern New Mexico nestled at the base of the Mogollon Mountains and the vast Gila National Forest (see maps). Located 30 minutes from Silver City, New Mexico at an elevation of 4600 feet, Gila has a post office, an excellent country store for shopping and spectacular beauty.

Situated on four secluded acres near the Gila River, this historic adobe house has been lovingly restored with all the amenities of a modern home. The River House features *two large bedroom suites, each with a full bath*. The kitchen is fully equipped and designed for the traveler who enjoys the independence of cooking for themselves. Wintertime comfort is provided by central radiant heat (hot water pipes in the floor).
