Bob is retired from the Air Force and Mel is a former Air Force flight nurse, hence we have a great deal of admiration for our military brothers and sisters. As such, we do offer military discounts to active and retired military members. We also offer Senior discounts in May, June, August, and September not to be combined with any other discount.
Krog's Kamp has the finest cuisine in the area. However, if you prefer to dine away from the kamp, there are many restaurants in the local area offering a wide array of specialties or you can prepare your own meals in the well equipped kitchen in your unit.. Many different activities are offered in the surrounding area including dog sled touring through Resurrection Canyon and helicopter rides over the Harding Ice Field. Here at the kamp, you will find a computer station for guest use and a dining and conference area for up to 540 persons.
We have both deluxe chalets overlooking the river and more rustic cabins in the trees. The interiors of our chalets are beautifully decorated and can be seen on the acommodations page of our web site. You will find plush carpeting, comfortable furnishings, walls accented with wood, modern kitchens with loads of amenities, TV/VCRs, and a wonderful warm cozy atmosphere. Our cabins are similarly decorated but with a more rustic touch. Outdoors you will find covered decks with gas grills where you can relax and watch the river as you prepare your dinner.
We book guided fishing trips, flight seeing trips, marine tours, rental vehicles, and whatever else our guests may want. We can arrange for therapeutic massages and can provide room service if requested and arranged for ahead of time. Our goal is to provide the ultimate in good old time Alaskan hospitality and service. Full meal service is available on a reservation basis.
We are a smoke free facility but do provide sand cans on the decks for our smoking friends. We do not permit pets. There are no age or gender restrictions, although we caution folks with small children about the dangers of the river. Most guests are male fishermen although we do have a few lady fisherwomen. We also offer activities for women who do not fish. There is a new state of the art day spa in the area now offering a wide array of services. Come and pamper yourself while enjoying the beauty of Alaska.
We require a 50% deposit to hold reservations. We have a thirty day cancellation policy. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival will forfeit deposit unless we are able to fill the space, therefore, we do suggest that visitors purchase trip insurance.
