Blackbeard's Before my first Blackbeard's I was warned it was like camping on the water, which is true. If you are looking for someone to make your bed, serve you dinner, and cater to your every need, this is not for you. The truth is that if you are used to being pampered, you will be miserable. HOWEVER, if you love diving, drinking rum punch, and relaxing, BLACKBEARD"S IS THE BEST. Okay, you may have to shower off the back of the boat, and share a "head" with 8 people, but it is all worth it. So, I encourge you to try it for yourself, just be warned, you will be hooked and you will be going at least once a year. Just remember to tip your crew, without them there would be no vacation!

Description of Active Adventure

The Bahamas offer great diving for all levels of scuba divers from the new diver to advanced divers. Newly certified divers and old salts enjoy the recreational diving offered on Blackbeard's Cruises.

Blackbeards offers 3 dives a day plus a night dive every night except the port night and the night you return to Miami. In addition to diving you will sail (wind permitting), explore deserted beaches, snorkel, fish and spear fish. One night will be spent in Port, usually Bimini or Freeport so passengers can enjoy the local entertainment.

Age range, type of group

They trip appeals to all active adults. It is a great trip for children who are cerified.

Sleeping and meals

Our trips have been described as "luxury camping at sea" since the accommodations aren't private and storage is limited. The cabins are fully air-conditioned and you don't need much storage since most of your time will be spent in a swimming suit. Fully air conditioned below decks with all services provided by crew.

Restrictions

Recommended that children be of diving age which is 10 for junior certification.

Rates & Availability

$849.00 plus a $55.00 port tax for the 7 day/ 6 night trip. Weeklong trips depart Saturday at 3:00 pm and return early Friday morning with customs clearance by 9:00 am. Our long weekend trips are $569.00. Weekend trips depart 9:00 pm on Friday and return Tuesday morning with customs clearance by 9:00 am. We run weeklong trips 52 weeks per year.
