Typical Day

Day 1 : Visit Miranda Shorebird Centre, reknowned bird sanctuary, home to many migratory birds. Rapaura Water Gardens, waterlillies ponds & waterfalls in Native NZ bush garden. Driving Creek Railway, small gauge bush railway near Coromandel town. 309 Kauri Walk, to grove of majestic Kauri trees.Day 2 : World famous Hot Water Beach where natural hot water bubbles up through the sand beside the ocean. At low tide, dig your own spa pool ! Cooks & Hahei beach, Cathedral Cove lookout, Kuaotunu, Matarangi, Otama, Opito. Beautiful seascape scenery where ever you look ! Lots of interesting Maori & European history, anecdotes & local knowledge.Day 3 : Try bone carving, golf, fishing,horse riding, craft trail, beach combing, sea kayaking during free morning ( own expense ) Depart around lunchtime for return to Auckland via Tairua. Pauanui views from Paku. .Ngatea Wilderlife Arrive accom late afternoon.

Comfortable beds, guest lounge, friendly & homely ambience. Self service continental breakfast in dining room.Transport provided to a Whitianga restaurant for evening meal.
