Accommodations

Originally built for the CEO of Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company in 1910, the splendidly redecorated 8000 square foot, Colonial Revival Styled home. The Manor has four spacious guestrooms each with a private bath.

“A place where elegance, excitement and hospitality meet.” Guests can spend their afternoon listening to music, having tea, or enjoying a good book in any of the Manor's common areas. We serve complimentary beverages, scrumptious home made desserts and a full breakfast each morning.

Rooms/Suites

The Magnolia Suite has a king-size bed with a sitting area. The Tiger Room, a very bright room also has a king-size bed. The Jasmine Room has a queen-size bed. The Eagle's Inn has two full-size beds and features a seven-head shower.

***Please note that Gregson Street is a one-way street that becomes Vickers Ave. after crossing the intersection of Chapel Hill Street at the Durham Police Department.

From I-85 North: Exit onto Gregson Street. Proceed past Brightleaf Square. Morehead Manor is two blocks past the Durham Police Department on the right.

From I-85 South: Take the Downtown/ Durham Freeway (Hwy 147) North Exit. Proceed north on the freeway to the Chapel Hill Street exit, turn left at the intersection, then right onto Gregson Street. Morehead Manor is two blocks on the right.

From I-40 East: Exit onto the Durham Freeway (Hwy 147), then exit the Chapel Hill Street exit. Turn left at the intersection, then right onto Gregson Street. Morehead Manor is two blocks on the right.

From I-40 West: Exit onto Hwy.15-501 north and follow the direction below.

From the South Square Area: Follow Hwy. 15-501 Business to University Drive. Past Forest Hills Shopping Center, turn left on Duke Street. Proceed to Chapel Hill Street; turn left at the light. Make the next left onto Gregson Street. Morehead Manor is two blocks past the Durham Police Department on the right.
