
Surrounding Area
Troon is a quiet seaside town world famous for golf hosting the British Open Championship every seven years. There is also a beautiful beach with an annual Clean Beach Award. Day trips can be taken to Culzean Castle Kelburn Castle each surrounded by country park and gardens with wonderful walks and stunning sea views. Troon is a jumping off point for Ireland with a 2 and a half hour ferry crossing. The Isle of Arran is a 1 hour trip away as is the Isle of Bute.
Edinburgh is 2 hours by car and Glasgow half an hour. Loch Lomond is a mere hour and a half.

The Cherries is a beautiful family home with award winning gardens and is situated one mile from the town and one and a half miles to the beach. There are many restaurants and we have picked a list of our favourites and hold a folder of their menus and prices.

1 family room with full bathroom/shower ensuite. 1 double bed and 1 single bed. A folding bed can be had for another child.
I twin room and 1 single room which share a bathroom and a separate shower room.

Directions
From A77 ( Glasgow- Ayr) north or south come to Prestwick airport roundabout. Take A78 signposted to Prestwick airport. At next roundabout take A78 again ( ignore "B" road to Troon) In half a mile take slip road off to Troon A759. At mini roundabout ( painted on the road) turn left to Troon . Half a mile to traffic lights and shops on right. Go through lights and take second road on left( Ottoline Drive) We are the third last house on the right.
