Fantastic Deep-Sea Fishing in Alaska

Active Adventure

We are a small family-operated fishing lodge located on the ocean in beautiful, secluded Seldovia, Alaska. We offer world class halibut fishing and other types of deep-sea fishing to small groups or families of four to six people per trip. The intensity and skill level can be accommodated to the group's wishes. The fish size varies from 20 pounds to 300 pounds and above.

Typical Day

You will be served a hearty homemade breakfast about 6am and then taken to the harbor to board our 30' custom built, twin diesel engine cabin crusier. It takes about one and a half hours to get to the fishing grounds and you fish until about 3pm or you can quit earlier if you want. You'll use the latest in fishing technology, including ELECTRIC REELS, and will enjoy a homemade lunch with dessert and beverages. You return to the harbor around 4 or 5pm, where we take pictures and fillet and bag your catch for the freezer. Then we return home to clean up, have a delicious homemade dinner and socialize.

Age range, type of group

Because of Dave's reputation for success, we attract many avid sportsman looking for that big "Trophy" halibut; however, we also have families with children, 10 yrs. or older, that come to enjoy the fantastic fishing and beautiful scenery of this area.

Sleeping and meals

We are located on the ocean with a beautiful view overlooking Seldovia Bay and Kachemak Bay. Sleeping accommodations are quiet, clean, and comfortable. We have three bedrooms with two single beds in each room and all bedrooms have private bathrooms, either next door or in the same room. All meals are homemade. Peggy loves to cook and creates wonderful breads, rolls, desserts and unique dishes, specializing in fresh seafood.

Restrictions

For the comfort and safety of all our guests, smoking is restricted to the great outdoors. Kennels, located in our workshop outside, are available for up to two pets. Children must be 10 yrs. old or older to deep-sea fish, though they can be younger to stay at the lodge.
