Our aim is to provide tours that are different, and above all "FUN'. Meeting Australians and enjoing their company round a campfire. Driving the wildest trikes and beach buggies, along the most scenic routes in the country. Towing small 2 beth camper trailers, erected in 10 seconds, and folded up in 20.
Our tours had to be cheap, but no sitting on crowded busses for hours at a time. No motels, youth hostels or backpacker accommodation. Choosing the best weather in different parts of the country.
If you can drive a car, you can drive a trike or beach buggy, they are pure fun, and your first experience of smelling the forest as you drive through it, instead of looking at it through a window, will stay with you forever. the warm breaze in your face. Follow the guide, or follow our detailed maps, be as independant as you want. Join us round the campfire at the end of the day, if you want.
This type of tour is not offered anywhere else in the world, as mass production tourism takes over.

Typical Day

A typical day starts with a hearty Australian hangover ( for some ) and recovery food. This is normally a short (very) walk from where we camp, unless you have brought your own. Fold up your camper and we are on the road, Stop whenever you want, theirs no rush, lay on a beach for a while, see the wildlife or simply breath the cleanest air in the world. You are in control, no bus driver telling you "Sorry, we don't have time" A typical day is also very relaxed, it needs to be. When you drive one of our vehicles, every time you stop, a group of Australians will gather to ask questions ( these vehicles do look wild) We see wildlife, in the wild, not in zoos. Some nights are spent in National Parks, under a billion stars. Some nights are spent at 5 star camping areas, with a pool, kiosk and even restaurant, luxury. The guide is always there to help, and advise if you need it.

Age range, type of group

The age range for these tours is only a guide, 18-35 y/o. But anyone young at heart with a good sense of humour can join us. The trikes seat 2 persons and some of the beach buggies seat 4, but the cost is calculated on 2 per vehicle. The camper trailers have one double bed, but we can provide tents if needed. A few seats are available in the guides vehicle for those without a car license. We don't like to exclude anybody, so check with us first.

Sleeping and meals

The camper trailers are 2 berth, with one double bed. Tents can be provided if this arrangement doesn't suit. Most camping grounds offer cabins or motel style units if you wish to upgrade, or downgrade, depending on ones perspective. Most campgrounds are also within a short walk to restuarants or take away food places, if not, you will be warned to purchase food at the last stop of the day. Clients need to provide their own sleeping bag, or rent one from us.

Restrictions

No pets, smoking is your choice. Age and gender don't matter.

7 day Great Ocean Road Tour is US$ 450 per person twin share
14 day Great Ocean Road and Tasmania Tour is US$ 900 per person twin share ( ferry cost extra)
21 day Melbourne to Cairns or Cairns to Melbourne is US$ 1,350 per person twin share.

Vehicles for these tours include:
Trikes- 1600cc VW based, 2 seater, 4 speed manual as per the Beetle.
Beach Buggies- 1600cc VW based, 2 or 4 seater 4 speed as per the Beetle.
Bikes- 250-1100cc
small cars-various, manual or auto
2 berth campervans, manual or auto.
camper trailers, small, one double bed and small living area, fold up table and chairs, no cooking facilities, although these can be purchesed cheaply on the first day.

We supply the vehicle, camper trailer or tent, guide, map books, camping fees.
Client supplies sleeping bag, meals, fuel, plus entrance fees to any places of interest.

Discounts Offered

Group booking discounts are offered, if booked directly with us. This can be used as a free tour for any organiser with 10 or more clients.
