We will welcome you aboard the "AWESOME ORCA" to enjoy an exclusive VIP tour. The "AWESOME ORCA" is a custom built 42 foot jet boat seating no more than 23 guests so we can get you away from the crowds to really enjoy and experience the wildlife we encounter. Capt. Larry Dupler and our full time on board naturalist will entertain you and offer knowledge from over 25 years of experience with whales. This is Southeast Alaska's most recommended whale watching tour. All you need to bring is plenty of film. Roundtrip transportation to the boat from hotel or cruise ship is included. You will arrive in Juneau as a tourist and leave as our friends.

Typical Day

We offer three tours daily and on almost every tour will observe humpback whales, stellar sea lions, harbor seals and bald eagles. Our sighting sucess record for humpback whales is 99.8%. We have regular sightings of killer whales and dalls porpoise, and occaisional sightings of sea otters and brown bears. A nice day offers views of 3 large glaciers flowing from the majestic snow capped mountains which surround the Juneau area. A fun and exciting tour with breath taking scenery, incredible wildlife in its natural environment, and new found friends to share it with. Age range, type of group

This is a great adventure for children of all ages. Our senior guest so far was 104 years young, and our youngest was 2 weeks old. The sighting of a whale is like the fountain of youth. Everytime you see one you will feel younger.

Other Information

The "AWESOME ORCA" is handicap accessible. It is a US Coast Guard inspected vessel, and is operated by a US Coast Guard licensed Captain. It is fully equipped with all safety equipment and modern electronics including a hydrophone which is used for listening to the whales when they want to "talk".
