Ogunquit is a resort seacoast village which offers live summer theatre, art galleries, antiquing, specialty shops and boutiques, Perkins Cove with sailboats nessled in the bay, the Marginal Way Cliff Walk literally on the cliffs along the Atlantic Ocean, and all kinds of boating activities, cruises, unsurpassed fine dining, festivals, events, and activites that would please the most energenic of our guests or those wanting just a slower pace.

Accommodations

Woodland Gardens is a reproductive farmhouse situated on 4-acres of manicured grounds with lavish gardens encircling the property. Our country setting, covered porches and fieldstone walls are a nature's paradise. We offer three exquisite bedrooms decorated traditionally in country romance and all our sleeping rooms have private baths, cable TV, air conditioning and always include a 4-course gourmet breakfast. We have resident hens which reward us daily with jumbo eggs and our huge vegetable garden yields ingredients used in all our recipes.

Rooms/Suites

Our Cherrywood Room is in the main house (is not a private entrance room) and has queen size bedding in a canopy bed, enhanced with feather bedding and hand pressed, high count sheeting, private bath with Jacuzzi whirlpool tub, all cherry furniture, including a cherry armoire clothes closet and love seat sitting area, cable TV, and air conditioning. Room rates include our 4-course gourmet breakfast.

Our deluxe Garden Room is exquisite with ice lemon stenciled walls. A 12 line poem about "Our Garden" is written along the border and guests always comment on the lovely verse which describes both the garden and friendship. There is a huge 4 poster carved rice bed with steps for climbing into and guests always feel like royalty when settling into bed for the night. It has a private bath with 2-person shower, cable TV, air conditioning, and is in our attached carriage house.

Our woodland room is our most secluded and has a 6 foot glass French door which overlooks the back grounds. The sun spills into this room all day. It offers two full size double beds, again with featherbedding, and the blues and greens in this room create the perfect quiet, soft and tranquil setting. It has a private bath with 2-person shower, cable TV, air conditioning, and is in our carriage house.

Amenities

Amenities include Neutrogena toiletries, large fluffy Ralph Lauren towels, Egyptian cotton robes, fresh floral bouquets from the gardens when in season, alarm clock radios, afternoon teas and homebaked goodies. Private entrances and ceiling fans are offered in our deluxe rooms, and 4-course gourmet breakfasts are included in our room rates.

Services Offered

We offer patio dining, covered porches and lavish gardens on a 4-acre country setting. Afternoon fresh baked goodies are available each afternoon with herbal teas and coffee. 4-Course Breakfast is included in our room rates and served on bistor tables by our shade gardens in the warm weather and in our country kitchen when weather is chilly.

Restrictions

We are a smoke free inn. We do not allow pets, and children must be 1st graders or older.

Rates & Availability

Our rooms range from $140 to $180 during the high season, Memorial Day Weekend through Christopher Columbus Day Weekend. We offer discounted seasonal rates (mid October to mid May). Dinner packages and lovers packages (floral bouquets and chocolate truffles) are available year round. Midweek stays are discounted year round.

Other Information

We do not accept credit cards but honor everyone's personal check. Receipt of overnight stay will secure reservation. For stays 5 days or longer, a 50% payment of stay is required. Reservations are held for 5 days awaiting deposit. Payment of balance of stay is due at check in. Once deposit is received, reservation is confirmed in writing. Deposits are refunded when notified 14 days prior to scheduled arrival, minus a $15 processing fee. Late cancellations or reschedules forfeit deposit. Sorry, no refunds for inclement weather or early departures.

Directions

From Logan International Airport travel I-93 to I-95 into the State of Maine. Take exit 4 (THe Yorks and Ogunquit) and continue on Route 1 heading North 4.3 miles to Logging Road. Turn left onto Logging, go to end turing left again, cross over the interstate, take 2nd right onto Josiah Norton Road. Woodland Gardens is exactly 1.2 miles on the left.

Discounts Offered

7% to 10% discounts are offered for midweek stays depending on number of nights books. Rates are discounted from mid October thru mid-May. Winter discounted midweek stays are usually discounted further...ask for details.
