We offer 2 to 3 hour day trips, evening sunset sails, and moonlight sailing trips in July and August. We also, weather allowing, schedule trips during the annual Perseid meteor shower. In addition to our day trips, we offer sailing instruction aboard a 32 foot keel sloop and a 19 foot centerboarder. Instructor Susan Peterson Gateley is an experienced classroom teacher and has authored several books on Lake Ontario. She is especially interested in getting other women at the helm of their own boats.

Destinations

Many customers opt for a sample two hour lesson on the protected waters of Fair Haven Bay or a half day trip upon Lake Ontario. However we can secure overnight accomodations at Shon's boat basin, our home port and we do schedule a couple of weekend live aboard learn to sail sessions each summer.Shon's has overnight cottages ( withi cooking facilities) and campsites available.

Typical Day

We can accomdate up to four at a time aboard our 32 footer.Dogs are welcome but we recommend a harness while aboard for safety.

Age range, type of group

Several accomodations ranging from Bed And Breakfast to campsites are available within the Fair Haven area at the State Park and at private camp sites.Area restaurants range from family diner style to 20 dollar dinners.

Sleeping and meals

Shon's allows dogs at their camp sites as does the Frost Haven B&B.

2 day liveaboard and learn package 295$ per student, includes 3 meals
